Robin Sharma was often known for his The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari series. Sharma is an author of several best-selling books and also a leadership and business speaker. He has been in the self-help industry for more than 20 years, conducting seminars and teaching his principles to famous organizations such as Nike, HP, PwC, General Motors, IBM, FedEx, and Microsoft.
Sharma started his career as a litigation lawyer, but due to the dissatisfaction in life, he decided to quit and his legal career at age 25 and self-published his first book called Mega Living.
In 1997, he wrote a book called The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, which was later picked up by HarperCollins for more exposure and wider distribution. Since then, the book launched Sharma’s career as a guru in the personal development industry to the next level. The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari quickly became the #1 international bestseller. As of 2013, 3 million copies of the book were sold, translated into more than 70 languages and selling across 50 countries. And in India, the book was listed on the top 10 list for over 2 straight years.
Today, he is the CEO of Sharma Leadership International and has published a number of best-selling books including The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari series, The Saint, the Surfer, and the CEO, The Greatness Guide, and The Leader Who Had No Title. Sharma has also created a popular coaching program called the Robin Sharma Life Coaching Program to show his clients how to become the best at work. And in 2007, an independent survey of business people named him as one of the most influential leadership gurus in the world. Besides that, he is also the founder of The Robin Sharma Foundation for Children that aim to help underprivileged children to become leaders.
